My name is Keri. I'm a wife to my amazing husband Ryan, a mother to an angel son, double rainbows (16 month old twins!), two dogs named Abby and Izzy, and a Human Resources professional. I don't consider myself a writer, but after losing my son, writing became my way of staying connected to him. I share our story and these letters with the hope that they will bring comfort to others who are grieving.
Ryan and I started dating on St. Patrick's Day of 2006, and I guess you could say that we were lucky in love, because we were married a few years later on June 13, 2009. We always knew we wanted children. After we'd been married a few years, we began our journey to start a family. We never thought our journey would take as long as it did! But on June 24, 2014, we finally got the positive on which we'd been waiting.
We had a wonderful and uneventful pregnancy. Everything seemed to be perfect. But at 36 weeks, just a month before we were expecting to welcome our beautiful baby, we got the devastating news that our baby had passed away. We were and still are heartbroken.
We delivered our baby boy, Morris Keith, on February 3, 2015. We spent several wonderful hours holding, rocking, singing and talking to him before we had to say goodbye. We will forever love and miss him, and we will look forward to the beautiful day when when we are reunited with him in heaven.
